Now That It's Over

Now that it's over I want to let go
Memories burn like a flame through the snow
It doesn't feel like it was so long ago

Memories torture as only they can
Broken hearts rattle like rocks in a can
It's hard to imagine you're even a man
When that used to be all you could know

Somebody said that the past is not past
When you were present I thought it would last
But time has a habit of running out fast
And everything runs out someday

Do you remember when flames were a spark?
When there was nothing could keep us apart?
Or are you also alone in the dark?
Waiting for something that's gone

I know that it's over but I can't let go
I follow the footsteps you left in the snow
You've gone above and left me here below
And I don't know how to move on
